Twice Blessed Ballooning, LLC offers Private hot air balloon rides over Northeast Ohio, primarily in the areas of Stark and Portage Counties. Our hot air balloon rides are for two (2) passengers, plus pilot, or in special circumstances a party of three (3) passengers, plus pilot, depending on atmosphere conditions. A typical balloon flight lasts between 45 minutes to an hour but expect to spend at least 3 hours with us for the entire experience. Flight times normally occur a few hours before sunset in the evening. If it’s a morning flight, we’ll meet at sunrise and fly in the few hours after sunrise. If a flight is a GO we will text or call you the meeting place and time. Remember, balloons travel WITH the wind and do not have directional control, so we select launch sites based on wind directions and speeds. When you arrive at the location, you will be asked to fill out flight waivers, present your ride certificate and be given a pre-flight briefing by your pilot. After your flight experience, we celebrate with a traditional Champagne toast (non- alcoholic sparkling grape juice will also be available). Since we don’t know where our landing location will be ahead of the flight, our trusty ground crew will follow the balloon to its landing and will transport all individuals back to the original meeting place.
Weather conditions that might delay or cancel your flight:
Low cloud ceilings, Fog, rain in the area or thunderstorms within 100 miles or less, lightening, surface winds above 8 knots (10 mph) and winds aloft at 3000 ft 20 knots or higher.
Ideal ballooning weather conditions includes:
Surface winds 8 knots or less, clear skies or higher cloud ceilings and no rain, thunderstorms or fog in the vicinity.

Policies for Purchasing a Balloon Ride
To schedule a balloon ride, passengers must purchase in advance. Once payment is received and verified, a Ride Certificate will be sent to the buyer with ride information and a ride number on the flight certificate. The flight certificate must be presented at flight time for verification. If no certificate number is produced or has already been used from a previous flight, cancelation of flight will occur. If a flight needs to be rescheduled by the rider, we asked that a minimum of 48-hour notice be given prior to the rider’s scheduled flight time. If a refund is requested, Twice Blessed Ballooning, LLC reserves the right to retain a non-refundable service fee of $50.00. Once the ride is taken, the certificate number is retired and can no longer be used. If the flight needs to be cancelled prior to meeting due to weather, then we work with you to schedule on the next available flight opportunity. Balloon operations are extremely weather dependent and if we do not feel that we can provide you a 100% safe and enjoyable flight experience, we will postpone for the sake of safety. Safety is our #1 priority and while it might be disappointing to get canceled, please be assured that we will work to give you your flight experience.
Ballooning is considered an outdoors and/or adventure activity:
Passengers must be able to stand for long periods of time. Unlike other aircraft, balloon gondolas do NOT have seats. Passengers must also be able to climb in and out of gondola as well.
Dress appropriately. Dress attire required would be similar to going on a walk or hike. Closed toed shoes are recommended as are ball caps for taller individuals. Pants are suggested, but shorts are acceptable especially if it’s in warmer temperatures. Keep in mind, our landing locations could be in fairly rugged terrain so having appropriate coverings is suggested.
Stay hydrated. Balloon flights in Ohio are typically during the summer months so drinking plenty of fluids is essential. Complementary bottles water will be available for all individuals involved.
Pregnancy, recent surgical procedures or illness: Please inform the company if any of these are of a concern and we will work to determine if it’s safe for those individuals to fly in our balloons.
Individuals who are intoxicated will NOT be permitted on board the flight. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OF ANY SORT IS PERMITTED DURING THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.
Certain weight restrictions apply. Approximate weight of all passengers combined will be assessed prior to meeting.
Children/Underage individuals are permitted to fly as long as they are accompanied by an adult. While there is no real age restriction, we recommend that riders be around 10 years of age and/or be tall enough to see above the rim of the gondola.
Passenger swap: If a change on the passenger manifest occurs prior to the flight, please inform us of this change. As pilots we must take all information into consideration when flying, for our safety and for the passengers.
Sold out season: If we are sold out, or cannot be of service, we are happy to recommend other local balloon ride companies in the Northeast and Central Ohio areas. The ballooning community is a very small portion of the aviation industry and all balloonists know each other, so we are happy to ensure that you are able to fulfill your bucket list goal of a balloon ride, even if it means going with one of our friends instead of us.
Waiver: All passengers will be required to sign and agree to terms on our company flight waiver. Parent or guardian must sign for a child or minor. This is required by our insurance coverage. Refusal or failure to sign the waiver will prohibit passengers from taking their flight.
